Contest Rules for The Wine Experience® and WineExperience.com

Current Contest Information:

If you've arrived at this page, it's probably because you are about to enter or have already entered one of our contests.

We try to keep the rules simple but it's not easy these days. So, here they are.

There is no entry fee of any kind imposed by The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC and no purchase necessary to enter any of our contests or sweepstakes

You must be 21 years of age or older to enter

All entries become property of Corkscrew Productions, LLC

You agree that any content submitted by you to The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC and/or winexperience.com or any of its companion sites is the property of Corkscrew Productions, LLC and we may print it, quote from it or use it in any manner we see fit

Only one entry per email address. If we receive more than one email entry from the same email address for a given contest, we may, at our sole discretion, reject all entries from that address

You as an individual or your email address (the one used to enter) may not win a contest at The Wine Experience, winexperience.com or with Corkscrew Productions, LLC more than one time in any 30 day period

The Wine Experience and Corkscrew Productions, LLC shall be the final judge and authority with regard to winners. In the case of fact based contests, The Wine Experience and Corkscrew Productions, LLC shall determine what constitutes a "correct" answer. In the case of ties, the earliest time/date-stamped email shall win out. If there are two with identical time stamps, The Wine Experience and Corkscrew Productions, LLC will randomly pick a single winner from those tied entries

This same address may be used as an alternate means of entry. Entry must be by submitting the same information required by the contest in email form but handwritten (legibly) or typewritten on a piece of paper at least 3 inches by 5 inches and mailed in an envelope to the address shown below

All Sweepstakes and/or Contests are void where prohibited by law

Entries that include content that violates the rights of third parties (including, but not limited to, rights of copyright) will be disqualified. Participants grant The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC the right to use their names in advertising and promoting the contest without further compensation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this contest as solely determined by The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC. In the event the contest is compromised by tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC which corrupts or impairs the administration, fairness, or proper operation of any of our sweepstakes or contests, The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify, or terminate such sweepstakes or contest. The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC are not liable for lost, late, delayed, damaged, incomplete, misdirected entries, email, or transactions that are lost or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware, or software, whether originating with sender or The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC

For the purposes of entering The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC contests, an email account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such email account by the Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with such email account.

Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC reserves the right to award prizes bases on the entries received prior to the termination date.

Corkscrew Productions, LLC is not responsible for typographical errors in the promotion or advertising of any of its contests.

Limitations of Liability: By entering any sweepstakes or contest offered by The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC, entrant agrees that all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the contest, or any prizes awarded , shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; any claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the contest, but in no event attorney’s fees and under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages other than damages for actual out of pocket expenses

The Wine Experience and/or Corkscrew Productions, LLC may revise these rules from time to time without further notice

The following additional rules apply to the "$500 Shopping Spree" contest for December, 2007:

1.  The deadline for entry is 11:59PM Central Standard Time on December 18, 2007.  Since entrance is by signup for our newsletter, that means that you must sign up for the newsletter by then and your signup must be time-stamped by our sign-up server by that time

2.  If you want to enter but do not want the newsletter, an alternate means of entry is to send an email to ken@winexperience.com with the two words "Contest Entry" in the subject line and your contact information in the body of the email.  This email must be time-stamped no later than 11:59PM Central Standard Time on December 18, 2007

3.  $500 prize means just that - Five hundred U.S. Dollars.  You will be able to shop on wine.com for up to $500 in purchases that we (Corkscrew Productions, LLC) will pay for.  This amount must include all shipping, insurance and ancillary costs charged by wine.com.  If your purchase totals less than $500 including all shipping, insurance and ancillary charges, that will be the amount that we will pay.  No additional payment will be due you or made to you

4.  All purchases by the winner of the contest must be consistent with all local, state and federal laws.  If wine.com cannot ship a particular item to your state or locality, you may not include that item in your shopping spree purchase

5.  Corkscrew Productions, LLC, The Wine Experience, and WineExperience.com have no connection with wine.com.   Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the products or services of wine.com other than as a consumer purchasing from wine.com 

6.  The winner will be determined by a random drawing from all eligible entrants

7.  We will contact the winner after the close of the contest.  The winner will have until January 31, 2008 to complete the shopping spree by visiting wine.com, selecting products and or services, and advising us via email at an address we will provide you of the items you wish to purchase
