Champagne Styles

With all of the tasty Champagne and sparkling wine out there the big question becomes, what's your style?

All of these wines throw a few twists at us on the label.  They all have bubbles but some are drier, creamier, sweeter or toastier than others and there are some key words on the label point the way.

If it says "brut" then the wine is dry and you should expect it to be sharp and crisp.    Just to be confusing, "extra dry" means the Champagne is actually off-dry.  Extra dry may have a hint of sweetness and it's great for weddings because its taste has broad appeal.

Both sec and demi sec are sweeter still.

Why sweet Champagne?   With dessert of course!

Serve it up with chocolates or different cakes... a great dessert touch.

With so many choices at different prices, Champagne doesn't have to wait for special occasions.
